New Delhi, Sep 21 (Agencies) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a three-day visit to the United States to participate in two significant events: the Quad Summit and the Summit of the Future at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The Quad Summit is set to take place in Wilmington, Delaware, President Joe Biden’s hometown. PM Modi will join U.S. President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to discuss regional issues. Modi emphasized that the Quad forum has become an important platform for promoting peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
During this visit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with President Biden to further enhance the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. He will also meet with the Indian diaspora and key American business leaders in New York on September 22. A technology roundtable involving major tech CEOs is also planned, reflecting the growing focus on innovation and technology collaboration.
On September 23, Modi will address the Summit of the Future at the UNGA, where global leaders will discuss strategies to secure a better future for humanity. PM Modi is expected to share India’s perspectives, representing one-sixth of the world’s population.
This visit underscores the importance of India’s role on the global stage, especially in areas of strategic cooperation, technology, and sustainable development.
