Karimnagar, Patriotic Views Desk: A program for the distribution of Katamaya Safety Kits (Safety Belts) to Geeta workers was organized by the BC Welfare Department at Renuka Ellamma Temple Function Hall on Ramagundam Bypass Road in Karimnagar.

The Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Shri Ponnam Prabhakar, attended the event as the chief guest and distributed the Katamaya Safety Kits to the Geeta workers. A trainer later demonstrated the proper use of the safety kits by climbing a palm tree and providing awareness to the workers.

The program was attended by former MLA Koduri Satyanarayana, District Collector Pamela Satpati, RDO Mahesh, Excise and BC Welfare officials, and representatives from the Gouda community.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that under the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy, Katamaya Safety Kits are being distributed for the well-being of Geeta workers. The kits have been technically approved by NIT and developed with the assistance of those who have climbed Mount Everest.

He further explained that these safety kits are designed to bear weights of up to 1,500 kg and will be instrumental in protecting the lives of Geeta workers. In the first phase, 10,000 kits are being distributed across 100 constituencies, excluding Hyderabad, while a total of 200,000 registered Geeta workers will receive these kits.

The Minister emphasized that in the future, no one should hear of any fatalities due to Geeta workers falling from trees. The Chief Minister himself witnessed a demo of the kit in Abdullahpurmet.

He further added that all trained workers will receive the kits, and those yet to be trained will be given training soon. The community groups should also be made aware of the kits, and awareness on social media is encouraged.

The Minister also appealed to the District Collector to remove the dump yard located in the area and proposed the development of Maneru Tourism. He concluded by stating that three new Youth India Integrated Residential Complexes, each costing ₹180 crore, are being developed in Husnabad, Manakondur, and Manthani.

With the blessings of Ellamma Mata, the Minister hoped for the success of these programs and an improvement in the education system.
