Hyderabad, 10 October 2024 Patriotic Views Desk : The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, along with his spouse, Smt. Sudha Dev Varma, participated in the grand Bathukamma celebrations held at the historic Raj Bhavan premises. The event, which took place on 9th October 2024, saw the couple join the Raj Bhavan Pariwar members in embracing Telangana’s vibrant floral festival.
Smt. Sudha Dev Varma led the procession, carrying the traditional Bathukamma to the main lawns and actively engaging in the festivities. She joined the women in singing traditional Bathukamma songs and highlighted the cultural significance of the festival.
In her heartfelt gesture, Smt. Sudha Dev Varma immersed the Bathukamma in a designated pond within Raj Bhavan, adhering to the festival’s customs. The Governor and Smt. Sudha Dev Varma extended warm wishes to the women of Telangana, both in the state and globally.
The event was attended by several key dignitaries, including Hon’ble Minister Smt. Konda Surekha, Smt. Dr. Anasuya Seethakka, Chief Secretary Smt. A. Santhi Kumari, and Principal Secretary to the Governor, Sri B. Venkatesham, IAS, along with other senior officials and staff members.
