KTR Accuses Congress of Adopting ‘Bulldozer Culture’ in Telangana; Hundreds of Congress Workers Join BRS

Oct 9, 2024

Hyderabad, October 9: (Patriotic Views Desk) BRS Working President K. Tarakarama Rao (KTR) strongly criticized the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of adopting a “bulldozer culture” reminiscent of Uttar Pradesh’s governance. Speaking at a party meeting where senior Congress leader Mohammed Alauddin Patel, along with hundreds of Congress workers from Serilingampally, switched allegiance to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), KTR alleged that the Congress government, led by Revanth Reddy, disrupted the festive atmosphere of Bathukamma and Dasara through unnecessary demolition drives.

KTR remarked, “The Congress government has turned Musi into ‘museebat’ for the people with its ongoing demolitions,” while lamenting the fear and distrust the people of Telangana now face. He further highlighted how farmers and women have been deprived of timely financial assistance and Bathukamma sarees, which were distributed under KCR’s administration. “Instead of celebrating festivals, the people of Telangana are now living in fear of bulldozers,” he added.

Referring to an incident in Warangal where people panicked during an official visit, mistaking it for a demolition attempt, KTR emphasized the growing unease among citizens. He claimed the Congress betrayed the public’s trust by failing to deliver on key promises, including the creation of 2 lakh jobs and a Rs 2 lakh loan waiver by December 9, as pledged by Rahul Gandhi.

KTR also pointed out that despite promises under the Mahalakshmi scheme, women have not received their promised monthly aid of Rs 2,500, and pensions for the elderly remain undoubled. He criticized the Congress for neglecting its promises while focusing on large projects like the Rs 1.50 lakh crore Musi Riverfront project, which he claimed was aimed at earning commissions.

Former Home Minister Mahmood Ali, who was present at the event, praised the BRS for its decade-long efforts towards minority welfare, including the establishment of over 200 residential schools. He criticized the Congress government for neglecting these initiatives.

BRS leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail further accused the Congress of stoking communal unrest, with over 20 incidents of violence reported in their 10-month tenure. He alleged that minority businesses were being targeted and that innocent Muslim youth were being falsely implicated in criminal cases. Sohail promised that the BRS would expose Congress’s communal agenda.

The event saw hundreds of Congress workers from Serilingampally join the BRS, marking a significant boost for the party as it gears up for future electoral battles.
