PM Modi to Launch Major Development Projects in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Oct 9 (P.views Desk) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch several important development projects in Maharashtra today, worth over Rs 7,600 crore, via video conferencing.

Key Projects:

  1. Upgradation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur
    • The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for upgrading the Nagpur airport.
    • The project is expected to cost around Rs 7,000 crore.
    • This upgrade will boost various sectors like manufacturing, aviation, tourism, logistics, and healthcare in Nagpur and the surrounding Vidarbha region.
  2. New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport
    • PM Modi will also launch the foundation stone for a new terminal at Shirdi Airport, which will cost around Rs 645 crore.
    • The terminal’s design is inspired by the spiritual neem tree of Sai Baba, and it aims to offer world-class facilities to religious tourists visiting Shirdi.
  3. Launch of 10 New Government Medical Colleges
    • In line with the government’s push for better healthcare, the PM will operationalize 10 new government medical colleges in cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, Amravati, and others.
    • These colleges will increase the number of undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats, and also offer specialized healthcare services.
  4. Inauguration of Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), Mumbai
    • PM Modi will inaugurate the IIS in Mumbai, which aims to create an industry-ready workforce.
    • The institute, established under a Public-Private Partnership between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Central government, will offer training in fields such as mechatronics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, industrial automation, and robotics.
  5. Launch of Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK)
    • The Prime Minister will also launch the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK).
    • This center will help students, teachers, and administrators access important academic and administrative data, using tools like live chatbots to improve learning and resource management.
    • It will also strengthen the connection between parents and schools, and provide better support for students.

These projects reflect PM Modi’s vision of driving growth across various sectors, improving healthcare, and enhancing India’s skills and education infrastructure.
