Haryana Results Very Different from Exit Polls

Oct 8, 2024

New Delhi, Oct 8 (P.views Desk) BJP National Spokesperson Shazia Ilmi said on Tuesday that the election results in Haryana are turning out to be very different from the predictions made by exit polls. She emphasized that the BJP is leading and is likely to form the government in the state.

BJP’s Lead in Haryana

Ilmi stated, “The results are completely opposite of what exit polls suggested. The gap between BJP and Congress is growing with each round of counting.”

She also noted that many Congress leaders had started celebrating early, but the actual results have not matched their expectations. “Congress leaders were ready with sweets to celebrate, but the reality has been very different,” she said.

Situation to Become Clearer Soon

As the counting continues, Ilmi expects the situation to become clearer within an hour. She pointed out that the BJP’s lead is increasing with each round, giving the party confidence about forming the government.

Jammu and Kashmir Performance

While discussing the BJP’s performance in Jammu and Kashmir, Ilmi expressed some disappointment. She said the party had higher hopes for this region.

“In Jammu, we expected better results. The current tally shows 26 seats for the BJP, but we believe this number will increase as the counting progresses,” she explained.

Counting in Haryana

The vote counting in Haryana began at 8 A.M. Initially, Congress took a slight lead over the ruling BJP, but within two hours, the BJP overtook the opposition.

  • Key Candidates Leading:
    • Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is leading in the Ladwa constituency (Kurukshetra district).
    • Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda is ahead in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi (Rohtak district).
    • BJP leader Anil Vij is leading in Ambala Cantt.
    • INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala is ahead in Ellenabad.

Conclusion

Shazia Ilmi remains confident that the BJP will emerge victorious in Haryana, and the final results will confirm this trend soon.
