Iran, Saudi Arabia vow to resolve differences, boost ties
Tehran, Oct 4 (PV News) Iran and Saudi Arabia have pledged to resolve their differences and strengthen ties, following a meeting between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Doha. They discussed improving bilateral relations, the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, and Iran’s recent retaliatory strikes on Israel.
Pezeshkian expressed Iran’s desire for stronger ties with Saudi Arabia and called for unity among Muslim nations to counter Israel’s actions. He also urged Saudi Arabia to leverage its influence in ending Israeli “crimes.”
The Saudi minister emphasized his country’s commitment to ending the rift with Iran and expanding relations, while trusting Iran to help restore peace in the region. The two nations formally resumed diplomatic ties in April last year after a six-year break.
