Hyderabad, Oct 4 (PV News): BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for making false claims about the farm loan waiver scheme. Rama Rao pointed out that Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao’s recent statement revealed that loans for 20 lakh farmers remain unpaid, contradicting the CM’s claim of full implementation.
KTR accused the Congress government of betraying farmers by not fulfilling its promise to waive loans of up to Rs 2 lakh in one go, despite making the pledge in December 2023. He also noted the failure to provide financial aid under the Rythu Bandhu scheme.
Nageswara Rao stated that out of 42 lakh farmers who took crop loans, only 22 lakh had their loans waived. He assured that the remaining would receive the benefit soon.
