Hyderabad, Sep 21. The World Bank has expressed its willingness to support the Telangana government in its development initiatives. During a meeting held in Hyderabad on Saturday, an official delegation led by Martin Raiser, the World Bank’s South Asia Vice President, praised the state’s progress in areas such as education and healthcare. Raiser noted that the priorities of the World Bank align closely with those of the Telangana government.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy discussed the state’s key priorities with the delegation, including the development of urban infrastructure, education, healthcare, and irrigation systems. He requested financial support from the World Bank to advance various high-priority projects and ensure they are built to high standards. The discussions come after the CM’s recent meeting with World Bank President Ajay Banga in Washington.
Telangana’s Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and other senior officials also participated in the meeting.
